Sky Tv is a business and Lfc is a major cash cow for them. You only have to look at the crowd at the mid week friendly in Istanbul there was a max of 10000 from Liverpool area there the rest are from all over the world.
I said before it was introduced that it will favour the lovables and I stand by that; City lost 2 points today that they would have got last year.
There only has to be a handful of decisions like today and they will win the title.
Of course I could be completely paranoid and similar match effecting decisions will go against the spawn of Satan but I doubt it and we will all see at the end of the season.
If for the first time in 30 years Liverpool win the title in the same season that VAR was used there wont be any debate as to why it happened.

It’s way to up to the referee when it’s used and they’ve added some ridiculous rules to it now to boot. I was initially very supportive to it but now I’m not. Instead of a decision going for/against you VAR now goes for/against you. Nothing’s changed.

Today for example DCL gets wiped out in the box with no appeal. Deulofeu clearly dives and gets called out by the defender for doing such and it gets appealed. Mix the ludicrous new handball rule with it and its what the fans wanted and it’s not fixed anything.

English fans and England are a bit backwards when it comes to technology and VAR. It's 2019, not 1960s....time has changed. Germans have fully embraced VAR and the yanks have had VAR in their sports since the 90s....the fans of those nations are what I call progressive.

What if that Spurs player who was challenging laporte, it had hit his arm spurs break and score, would they dissallow that?

If you see progression as making a package that the global sad sacks can buzz off, alright pal.

The Germans hate it. As do the Italians.

That's the thing I don't understand, is the decision to use VAR up to the ref, or does the ref get a word in his earpiece that something should be looked at?

I'm never going to be one of the sensationalist "VAR is killing football" guys but it is not being implemented well at all. Far too difficult to tell what is actually going on.

Is there an mandiate for this?

Did the clubs have a vote, I might be ignorant but I’m unaware of one.

It’s been imposed by stealth to help the established media teams like United and Liverpool.

Spain has var for a while, and they favour Barcelona and Madrid.

The only ‘big’ clubs I can see having problems with it, is Manchester City, and that’s for obvious reasons.
Well that's the second time in as many games against spurs we've been shafted by someone making a decision in a secret bunker! The FA want a new PL winner and seeing as your RS neighbours and Tottenham haven't won the league for close on 90 years between them, it's looking like the FA are desperate to deny them. I take it the VAR decision maker was probably having a ham shank in the bog over the readers wives page in Fiesta not to see Rhodri denied a pen.

I was at the game and when Jesus scored we went mental. A minute later spurs fans went mental and started taunting us. The stewards looked worried as it nearly kicked off with us and them.

VAR needs to become clear as to what is going on as it's killing the game and enjoyment of celebrating a goal.
