Wilfried Zaha transfer request will prompt vastly improved Everton bid

Everton are expected to make a vastly improved deadline day offer to Crystal Palace in the hope of finally signing Wilfried Zaha after the forward put in a transfer request.

I think Cenk has previous history with Palace. He did a gobby interview saying Everton are bigger club and he’s glad he joined us not Palace.

Fans of the club don’t like to hear that. Even if it’s the truth.

Maybe why they had reservations on sending him in an offer to Cp.

Cp are looking at a decent striker from CSKA. Not sure if this effects any deal with Tosun.

Everton did indeed make a bid, he's a player Silva and the owner Farhad Moshiri like, but the offer was rejected and no official bids have followed.
The story hasn't gone away though, with suspicions from some quarters at Goodison that the club's name is being used as leverage to try and force more bids.
That's not to say, if Palace were to sign a replacement and dial-down talk of £80m plus fees, Everton couldn't come back to the table.

No clue Matt. I don't know how sauced he is these days - he's been away from Everton for a while but just flicking through his posts from today.

Apparently he is close friends with the chairman. Some sort of deal could have been mustered between them whereas Zaha wants to go but give another season to Palace and sign the contract to ensure Palace get a good wedge. Gentlemans agreement kind of thing.

Yes but Everton were not part of the ‘Gentlemans Agreement’ and they are being asked to pay way over the players value, that’s my disagreement with signing Zaha, a good player but worth less, much less than what is being asked.
