....I really don’t think playing in Europe this season makes a difference. Players move here because of the cash, and Everton are an attractive proposition. If they want to play in Europe, they can turn Everton down and move to Celtic.
No I agree, I just absolutely hate the argument that you'd be better off avoiding Europe. One because it's another chance at a trophy, two because I enjoy the European trips, and three because it means getting less points and finishing lower in the table, which completely defeats the object of competing in the league in the first place. Also worth pointing out that being in Europe might make us slightly more attractive to certain players. If we were chasing the same player as Leicester or Wolves but had Europe while they didn't then that could be the difference. People are getting very excited with some of their utterings based on not an awful lot of transfer business just yet.

Can’t see the midfield shouts personally. Gomes Gbamin Delph Siggurdson all expecting first team football. Schneiderlin and Davies still trusted by the manager. Bernard potentially dropping into number 10. Besic and McCarthy still not moved on yet. I can’t see why we’d want to add another first team player to that. I’m all for squad strength but there’s going to be 20 million pound midfielders sat on the bench if we’re not careful.

We need 20m players on the bench that can actually play rather than the Championship standard subs we currently have

...I think too much is made of it, unless players have the chance to join an elite team who are regularly in the final stages of the Champions League. Ironic Kean has come to us from Juventus, but it might be a very shrewd move as he could quickly become our main man.

Zaha and Zouma the dream

Would settle for Zaha and a different CB.

I just don't see how teams could live with us with Zaha, Richarlison and Kean up front, with Sig as the supply line.

I mean, that's actually top 4 quality isn't it? Or am I being ridiculous?

Not ridiculous, only Arsenal, City, The [Poor language removed] and maybe spurs have a better attacking options, It's up there.

Only issue we have is depth, but I think when we're in europe that will be addressed.

We need to shift Walcott, Baines and Lewin next season.

But if we finish 8th again all it will prove is that the players we brought in weren't as good as we thought, and we might have got better people in if we'd been in the Europa League...
I dont agree mate, next season might be harder to just stay 8th, Wolves, Leicester and West Ham for example, let's say they step up, just to stay 8th would take more quality then we had last season.
