Give them besic.
Any bid we make for any player now should come with the offer of a player going the other way - see Henry to Monaco as an example.
It’ll still be 4 big money central midfield signings in one window. Nothing is adding up here.It would only be 3 really, seeing as Gomes was already here. And if Schneiderlin went it would be 2 out 3 in, which isn't particularly outlandish.
No thanks.
I'd rather have MbappeReally? You wouldn't have Neymar whilst we've still got Tosun and Niasse leading the line?
If we got Zaha, Doucoure and a back-up CB and RB, I’d fully expect to be challenging for 4th.
Strikes me that it's Silva pushing for this move. He wanted a replacement for Gana, I doubt Gbamin was the replacement. If this is true and it’s a bloody big IF, then EFC are not mucking around this summer.
It doesn’t really fit with how Brands operates though... he seems to like throwing low ball offers in and sitting tight until the selling club caves in. Doesn’t seem to be the type to keep throwing bids around willy nilly.
Yep. Mentioned it a few pages back. Never heard the term prior. There was a popular TV show called the mentalist which, if I recall, was not about mental health.

Why bid for anyone in the last week? If we want a winger and a centre half and a right back (we do, Silva has said so) why haven't we got them yet? It's the same thing. It certainly surprised me and I've given my feelings on Doucoure before, but I just don't think the idea of signing another midfielder is as mad as you do, particularly as Silva basically said he was thinking about it the other day. It’ll still be 4 big money central midfield signings in one window. If we wanted Docoure, why wait til the last week of the window to start making bids? Why sign first Delph and chuck him a rumoured 120k a week, and sign a defensive midfielder for 25 big ones as well as signing Gomes on a permanent deal also for decent wedge.
Are Delph and Gbamin seen as squad fillers/bench warmers? If they have then we’ve clearly got far more money than any of us ever imagined.
IF this is true and we’re now offering 30-40 million on yet another central midfielder then that smacks of a scattergun approach with little plan to me.
Let’s see what happens but I’m saying complete bull on these rumours.
I wonder if Gbamin is seen more as a centre half?Strikes me that it's Silva pushing for this move. He wanted a replacement for Gana, I doubt Gbamin was the replacement.
Doucoure isn't a replacement for Gana. Its Gbamin for sure. Doucoure is an 8 primarily. He's not really a defensive mid even if he can play it. It allows us to move Schneiderlin though.Strikes me that it's Silva pushing for this move. He wanted a replacement for Gana, I doubt Gbamin was the replacement.
