To be fair RB had a couple of players that looked reasonable and would be worth taking good look at. One in particular, Harland is the son of ex PL player was a real handful and built like a brick sh**house.
If you didn’t know anything about Zouma and you based your judgement on what he has done in Pre season you wouldn’t spend a tenner on him.
Yeh don’t worry I know my Salzburg players but someone of Zouma’s experience should have handled that game a lot better.
Like I say though I never massively rated him even before he came here. Totally not arsed if we don’t buy him.
I read that Chelsea are going to keep both Drinkwater and indeed Bakayoko if that’s the case I suspect they have to let a NHG player leave . Obviously Chelsea will know how close Rudiger is to gaining full fitness but if I were them and he is only a matter of a few weeks away from returning then I would sell Zouma ( not loan him) now.

I had mentioned previously that he hadn't started a game during pre-season, well until yesterday, so I questioning where he was he in their first XI plans.

I have faith we'll sign him. I think he's getting a run out in preseason to drive the price up, but I am not convinced that Lampard does or will see Rudiger and Zouma as his nailed on first choice partnership.
Rudiger is by far the best CB there and the others are probably much of a muchness. Zouma would command the highest fee right now (but this would markedly drop after a year on the bench), so it makes sense for them to squeeze what they can out of us.
They'd still be left with Luiz, Christensen and Tomori to start the season with Rudiger seemingly back soon. Azpilicueta can cover if need be, though he's better as a CB in a 3.

Loan makes sense right with the right to call back. They don’t need him now but are hesitant to let him leave if an injury crisis hits and they can’t add more heads now.. might happen.
