He's not going to leave man city's bench to join Evertons bench whilst simultaneously taking less money.

He's either ensured game time or decent enough pay on a three year contract that it's not a million miles away from what he's on now

He couldn’t get a game in City’s midfield with De Bruyne injured and now they’ve added Rodri to that. He needs to keep himself in international reckoning so probably thinks he’ll get far more midfield minutes here even if it’s off the bench.
 

Supposed to be considered quite a leader at city isn't he, good in the dressing room, etc. Hard to argue we wouldn't benefit from more leaders in the squad given our habit of randomly crumbling for 15 games at a time over the last 5 years.

Good, solid although not a headline signing who has vast experience of the league.
He doesn’t shy away from a 50/50 either, so I’m in!
8-10mil is nothing nowadays
