New Everton Stadium Discussion

Now lets get the stadium built and light it up like that to be seen from the river. That would cheer our neighbours up.

Exactly the same situation as at Kirkdale now , one stop further down the line.
It really is not a problem.
Many will take the option to walk and there will be soccer buses running, as there are now.
For some reason people are inventing problems that aren’t . Not really. Theres plenty of places to stop at on way back to Kirkdale..and many places to do that too.
Not on the Dock Road there isnt.

So suggesting adding a station at a point which will be receiving billions of pounds worth of developments, to help reduce the numbers at sandills + make it easier to get to our new stadium - as well as to promote economic growth in the area is a bad thing?

This is the only thing Everton are truly good at, saying absolutely nothing in every single press release.
Board say nothing about ongoing works: people moan asking what's going on, why no updates, is everything falling behind.
Board say consultation happening next month as advertised: people moan saying the above, blah blah blah no new information, why are they wasting out time...

:Blink::blush:

I’m sure plenty of people will be able enough to tackle a 40 min walk without having to stop.
Secondly, the council have plans to extend the city centre northwards by encouraging new bars and restaurants etc. as part of the overall regeneration of the area.
Also the stadium will almost certainly have plenty of bars etc. to encourage people to linger after the match and allow the crowds to abate somewhat, much as we do now in the pubs around Goodison(only the money will go to Everton, win win)
