I’m waiting for confirmation that the green light’s been given before purchasing a penthouse apartment beside the royal blue Mersey. I will be running a 10 acre organic stone fruit and avocado orchard in NZ so I don’t want to buy a property in Liverpool only to find that the stadium has fallen through.

I must admit my gut reaction before reading the email was that it would contain bad news but it's very much as you were.

I am a skeptic on this but at least recent communications have been consistent from them and that has to offer some encouragement.

I don't doubt the will to get it done but the means and execution.

Perhaps the more enlightened here can draw a distinction between "design concept" and "design" as a lay person such as I would understand it.

It will be interesting to see design images something near official anyway.

Apparently something to do with the access areas being cobbled? The stadium itself im sure will be sound but theres some issues as to what the club can change. Having not being in the meeting of course, this is second hand information.

He's keeping up the pretence on behalf of the board, cause of course it is much better to pretend to have a stadium plan that no one knew of to start with and then upset the supporters, than not to do it in the first place.

Still not a word about funding.

That's the big news I'm waiting on.

Meis can post as many designs as he wants but they won't mean a thing without the funding in place.

Do they have to have financing in place in order to move forward with the planning permission?

They seem confident this is all on track. Funding must be in place if they are talking about planning permission by the year end.
