What is your point. Just saying not all players need to tall to be good. I just enjoy watching technical players
Your original post suggests you need to be fast tall and strong to play in the prem and that skillful players are only nice to watch. I'm pointing out that the team that won the prem this year had the shortest average height of any team.

You are right, but this city team is an exception in so many ways, not only in the height of its team.

I mean you need height, pace and strength in the team. As in you can’t have slow players all over the pitch or weak ones everywhere etc. I said I prefer technical players over physical specimens, I just enjoy watching good footballers of which city have plenty. But the also have player like company that are strong, walker who is basically just a tremendous athlete ,

Man City last season:
Laporte: 1.91 m
Kompany : 1.90 m
Stones: 1.88 m
Mendy: 1.85 m
Sane: 1.84 m
Otamendi: 1.83 m
Walker: 1.83 m
De Bruyne: 1.81 m
Gundogan: 1.80 m
Fernandinho: 1.79 m
Marhez: 1.79 m
Jesus: 1.75 m
Zinchenko: 1.75 m
Delph: 1.74 m
Aguero: 1.73 m
Bernardo: 1.73 m
Foden: 1.71 m
David: 1.70 m
Sterling: 1.70 m

(for my fellow Americans out there 1.83 m is 6' and 1.70 m is 5'7")
Lots of people go on about how we need quality back up this, and quality back up that. Well I counted 19 players on that list. Add in 2 keepers and that is a squad of 21 that City relied on last season that saw them win 3 trophies and get close to a 4th. I think most people would agree that it was the depth of City's squad that enabled them to be so successful.

I've said all along that we only need a quality base of around 15/16 players with the remainder of the squad made up from young developing players, such as Holgate, DCL, Lookman, Davies, Henry and Kenny. I would say we need a keeper, 5/6 defenders, 4/5 midfielders and 5 forwards (including wide forwards.

Firstly we need to retain Geuye, and sign Gomes and Zouma if possible. That would give us 5 quality defenders, 3 quality midfielders and 2 quality forwards (I'm classing Siggy as a midfielder but when we play 4231 he could be classed as a forward).

So assuming we keep hold of Gomes and Zouma, we need, as a minimum, another midfielder and 2 forward players one of which should be a wide right specialist. That would give us a quality base of 14, so more work need to be done the following year, unless of course any of our younger players step up in quality.

Correct. Was the same with Liverpool. Yes you need to be lucky with injuries but needing a squad of 25 is nonsense. Wolves finished 7th and probably relied on 15-16 players more often than not.

City’s midfield for most of last season was Fernandinho and the two Silvas. None of them are quick tall or strong. Yet they can go to any ground the country and dominate because they are all so good on the ball. Some of our best performances under Moyes game when we had to play Arteta and Osman in the middle and we just passed teams off the park.

Some teams (mainly that lot across the pearl) have made it fashionable to have three absolute athletes in midfield and indeed that can beat most teams but their lack of trophies relative to City or Chelsea comes form the fact that they haven’t had those technical players in midfield who can control games. Indeed they lost the league when they were outclassed by City’s midfield at the Etihad.

I’d love us to be bold and go Bernard Gomes and a holding mid in a midfield three and look to outplay teams.
