There's no guarantee he will return to Chelsea and just slot in as a starter.

He was caught out often at first and struggled to adapt to Silva's marking system. Was excellent towards the back end of the campaign. Chelsea will not let any player find their feet in competitive matches.

Whatever the decision on both Kurt and Andre, I expect the club to do what is right.

I always liked Moyes approach to loans, where a buy clause was agreed. I understand we might not get our targets in this case, but it adds a layer of commitment and protection for all concerned.

Part of me hopes we don't sign him now. Our scouts should exclude any player who is mates with Pogba.

I don't expect at all that he will slot in as a starter. The trouble is more that Chelsea lack depth in the CB position - Kurt will be a squad player there in the absence of them being able to sign anyone else to do the same job.
