ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

I can just see Ajax getting turned over. What was the buzz around them like going into that Europa League Final against United? I really can´t remember but they were awful that night.
Another year older now though, which is a long time when half the team are under 23

....for those that gloated and those that failed to believe, it’s time you believed. For those that saw Salah and Firmino out and said it was over, it was never going to be over. Many of you can get up tomorrow and blend in.

For those of us who knew, those of us who warned, it is different. We now have to endure, not for a night but for an eternity. We can’t blend in, we live with them. We have to take it on the chin. We suffer.

That is positively Churchillian, Eggs :)

They wont. City win the PL (which is easily the bigger of the two competitions in any case), and that Ajax team respect no one.

If there is one saving grace to be gleaned from the current devasted landscape we are staring at right now it os that the CL is very much the consolation prize fir them.

It is the Holy Grail of the EPL title they crave most.

Forca, Pep.....

Barca played like that because liverpool didnt let them breathe. Its no coincidence that good sides always play poor at anfield, its because they are an excellent team.
Pains me to say it but its true. The manager has every player running through brick 'walls' for him
Yeah, here's the facts though: they've won nothing on 4 seasons so far with that manager; and the club has won nothing of note since 2005.

I dont feel devastated at all tbh.

The PL is THE trophy to win. And the CL final is a game that can go either way.

Nil Desperandum.

That is what worries me.

It was men against boys when they played United :(

Mind you, Ajax had Klassen playing that night.....
Totally different proposition now.

I'd fear playing Ajax (if it is them), because they dont give a toss. And it's all a bonus for them now. They'll be less pressurised than Liverpool, and their manager will be less under pressure than Klopp - a serial bottler.

If it;s Spurs: it;s a PL one off game.

Liverpool are far from having won this CL.

I care only about the PL, tbh. The CL I'll let take care of itself. If they win it, that's bad. But it wont be nearky as gutting as seeing them win the big one of the PL....which they'll never get as near again now VAR is coming in.

I don’t say this often but fair play to the horrors they did exceptionally well to win the tie. They won’t win the league and they don’t have Anfield for the final so there’s some hope for me
