ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

Big parallels I could see repeated there - We beat Southampton 6-1 at home - they scrape a 1-0 against Chelsea and win the title - sound familiar to this seasons title race ?? - Just trying to work out which of City's games will be their Oxford Utd moment....
An awful day. Beating a team by a massive margin, seeing a goalscorer in the form of his life score three goals all for nothing. Of course that day paled into insignificance a few weeks later at Wembley.
I'll take that nauseous feeling to my grave, I'm certain of it.

Even if they win all their remaining games they still might not win it.

Citeh have failed to win 6 games all season.
Missed a last minute penalty against the RS.
Wolves scored an offside goal, got away with a foul in the penalty area and saw their woodwork hit 3 times.
Battered Chelsea befor conceding a hit and hope against Kante
Palace had shots on target including a daft penalty and a once inadequate lifetime goal by Townsend.
Poor against Leicester but they still need a worldie to get all 3 points.
And they had a goal harshly disallowed against Newcastle who also needed a penalty to get the win.

They've lost once in 23 games this calendar year and never even looked like losing any of the others.

Spurs and United are the possible banana skins but I cant see even a full strength United team hold city off for 90 minutes. And spurs are spurs.

Chelsea should make it bit more comfortable on Sunday anyway.

They won't slip up. They play with 12 men every week as it is, as it gets closer things will only get worse. Like when they won the CL and they were nowhere near the best team in England so they'll win the league and not be the best team in England. Hope City win the CL so at least it'll take some of the limelight away as Sky and the rest of the media splurge all over the armchairs faces.

Chelsea did them in 13/14 and Hazard usually puts in a good game.
Hazard as their talisman would normally be counted on to do the business.
Sadly this season he's been well off the pace compared to recent seasons plus he's looking for out.
So for me someone else needs to become the new Demba Ba.
Step forward Wavertree's finest?
