Think if we got into the Europa, it would be some achievement considering the sort of season we've had. I do share others concerns about whether the competition has an adverse effect on prem performance, and how we should rebuild the squad, but I would take 7th as an improvement ......not convinced Marco is the answer but its great to see displays like yesterday, and he and the team should rightly get some credit as a result. Just be consistent, work hard, get the mental attitude right and I will be happy.

It`s no lie I`m not Marc Silvas biggest fan, I just want the best for EFC, Nil Satis Nisi Optimum.

But he has shown signs of improving, finishing 7th I would say give him go next season. Not quite an about turn but a full appraisal should be done at the end of the season. Last 2 games v Chelsea and West Ham were positive though.

Interesting bookmakers have slashed our odds on us appointing Mourinho at the start of this weekend.

Basically its not proven, its a myth due to 2 teams having really bad seasons.
Yeah, we already did this analysis, it showed almost no difference at all, in fact, most did better the next year in the league. It's just silly. Burnley is a TERRIBLE example. Anyone is going to be worse if they fail in the transfer market.

Since we lost to Watford on February 9th, our form since then reads Cardiff 0 Everton 3, Everton 0 that other shower 0, Newcastle 3 Everton 2, Everton 2 Chelsea 0 and West Ham 0 Everton 2.So in the five games since the Watford defeat, we have won three, drew one and lost one.In those 5 games we have kept 4 clean sheets. So the evidence clearly shows that things have turned around. That the Newcastle game was a freak, and we should have at least taken a point from that game. Now hopefully we can sign up both Zouma and Gomez in the summer, and get a quality striker in.But overall i think we can see a bit of sunshine now, and reasons for optimism going forward.

Should have been a 2-0 at Newcastle as well.

I think the Newcastle game was down to the players more so than Silva. If Pickford kept his head we win that game. You can argue MS was the sub but subs can go either way. I think Silva has been very unlucky at times with decisions by officials and silly defending.
