Ross Barkley joins Chelsea, er, Villa on loan

I personally thought he was being sarcastic with the clapping when he came off

I understand why he'd feel that way, but on the same token it doesn't help his cause if he ever wants to heal the wounds created by the way he left

I find the whole thing depressing really, and wish he'd never left. Ross Barkley should play for Everton, to see him in another clubs shirt just isn't right

Throwing stuff at him isn't going to help either.

Didnt even know anything about this coin thing stuff till it was said today, but someone seems to think it happened when he was subbed off-True or not i dont have a clue

I agree he should be here. But he is his own man and decided he didn't want to play for Everton. So I couldn't care less about him anymore.

Not for me, Mike,

I have felt quite heartbroken seeing a fair few players come to The Park wearing another team’s shirt over the years.

I could never get used to seeing Alan Ball in an Arsenal shirt.

A few weeks ago it was sad watching Gerard Deulefeou playing for Watford.

in between there was Big Bob playing for Swansea, Duncan for the Barcodes and Felliani for United.

And of course the sight of Wayne in a Manc shirt nearly made me cry every time he came here.

But Barkley?

To me he would not look out of place in a Liverpool kit.

I don’t hate him ‘cos he left.....but like many others, the manner of his leaving has left a taste so rotten in my mouth I will never warm to him in the future and wouldn’t want him back here on a free transfer.

I hate Barkley more than I hate Barmby......and that is saying sommat :)

people going on about the applause when he went off, anyone else reckon he's just that dumb he forgot he didn't play for everton anymore. would not surprise me at all
Seen him head on to our side of the pitch when the teams first came out, deffo forgot for a second
