ahead by a point.
The Mahrez penalty miss is more significant than the result against us. Point less for the rs and two extra for City.

The game this weekend is the biggest since the FA Cup Semi in 2016.

A win would lift the entire mood around the club, just as the horror show in December flattened it.

Victory would see pressure ease on Silva too and give him a memorable victory, something this dreadful season has yet to offer. It could give him the spring board to succeed or see the search for a new manager start before Easter.

It's unthinkable for Manchester City to miss out on the league title and it end up in the worst place imaginable.

This game really is much more than 3 points. A must win game, as that Semi final was for Roberto.
But we lost that semi final if memory serves me right.......Lukaku's misses and martinez's clueless tactics .....agree though that a win on Sunday would give us a massive boost.

If we sat deep for 20 mins and didn’t bring the fullbacks up they’d absolutely panic. They’re hoping to blow us away early then hit us on the counter as that’s the only game they can play. If it stayed 0-0 for a long period or we scored first they’d just resort to what they were doing against United of punting long balls down the channels hoping for set pieces.

peno misses happen. doing the impossible to claw a ball going out of play and gifting it to a Liverpool striker is a hole different ball game.... And it was our own.

They are in a bad patch and playing poorly. They'll need steady nerves and leadership both lacking at the ment. Klopp's whinge after the offside goal at West Ham was quite telling. Along with his the 'fans want the title' has piled pressure on them and they're finding it hard to handle. A Derby win would be an enormous deflator for them
First up a Watford side who will make it hard for them. A big week.

We won't beat them.

Hopefully City don't slip up in the next few weeks. I hope both us and Spurs can take points off Liverpool. If they take 11 points from the next 15, I think City will be top of the table and thus have the title in their hands once again. In the next 5 games, it's City who have the favourable fixtures. However, if City fail to take full points / if Liverpool match their points haul, I think the title is heading to Anfield.

Football is full of 'ifs buts and maybes - if Gomes had scored with that free header, maybe we would have won, but we didnt. Im not distracting the blame away from Pickford for that error, but with two teams in the title race, Citys failure to win at Anfield is more significant than our derby loss.

That’s it, any scenario relies on City being perfect which with Fernandinho going off doesn’t look likely. I was hoping United would have beaten them to be honest. Watford game is crucial, they might either get back on track or enter full on meltdown.

Watford won't do anything apart from perhaps put up a fight but ultimately lose. City won't need to win every game, but I don't think they can drop more than about six points.
