I'd be playing either Bernard or Lookman over him.
He's not a winger, we can't play the 4-3-3 Silva prefers with him in the squad. Now we're either shoehorning him into the wing or completely playing a new formation just to accommodate him.
Why? Why are we going to make those changes when he's not been doing the business on the pitch for months?
Maybe if Bernard or Lookman got started every match regardless of their form like he does then they'd be able to have a bigger impact in the team.
You can't say he deserves to be in the team ahead of Lookman or Bernard on recent form. He hasn't done anything recently.

Lots of hatred brewing of Gylfi, understandably so. A goal every 4 and an occasional assist for our record signing is a woeful return and he's getting worse. Looked far better without him midweek, some of our play actually going through the centre. He's the most indulged player in our system yet rarely offers a good outlet when needed. And his free kicks are awful. One of the biggest flops in Premiership history.
