Our lion hearts have made us all very proud this season with their derring-do, ne’er say die approach to the game...(not to mention no little scintillating skill)...however, I fear this game might be a little beyond us.
But don’t get down if we do happen to lose. This giant club of ours (champions 11 times!!) is on the up and up. Rome wasn’t built in a day and I have great faith that Farhad and Blue Bill have both been to Rome sometime in the recent past.
Whatever the case, I’m really looking forward to again visiting Rome myself. It’s one of my favourite cities...
Unfortunately Rome now looks like a dumpster, occupied and run by barbarians...

Given our season to date, we could well sneak this one.

Then come the derby match, normal service will be resumed, a 4-0 thrashing, at least 1 penalty (Milner), and the last goal scored by some outcast, usually Sturridge, as a sub in the 94th minute.

Prior to this ,one of our back 4 will have been given the obligatory. :red:

At the final whistle Klopp will race to the mutants at the corner of the Bullen's road, as they sing 'Champions'.

We all trudge home, bewitched, bothered, and truly bewildered,

But not to worry, the club will issue a 'significant' statement about the new stadium the following day.

:coffee:

I sickens me to see how many want us to lose this. You all deserve us to never recover and get relegated. Despite the unlikelihood, imagine if we lose tomorrow and end up going down by one point? In 53 years as an Evertonian I have NEVER wanted anything other than an Everton win.
Ha ha don't sweat it friend. We aren't going down. We are a mid table non entity. I think it's perfectly normal to want the blues to throw tonight's game, especially after they dropped points last night. Let's be honest the lot of em would excel at such a pursuit. They're lazy by default as it is. Shouldn't be too hard.

If you don't feel the burning inside of you that they they simply must not be allowed to win the league then that's okay.

I'm telling you though the feeling is strong amongst many Blues many thousands of good and true blues.

Totally agree with this. All who want us to lose are not born to be blue so [Poor language removed] off to a glory team like city United or the red [Poor language removed]
This is so far off the mark.

Just imagine the satisfaction. We lose tonight and we beat them at their place thus resulting in them losing them the league.

That is a fantasy scenario only true blues will understand ;)

This is the nightmare scenario. We somehow miraculously win tonight and then they thrash us at the Derby. They then win the league by one point so that they can always remind us that it was us that presented them the title. Just got shivers thinking about it

oh behave lad. obviously not from Liverpool are you

if you was you'd understand why the majority of us absolutely detest the rats and would do anything for them not to win the league ( even if it means us getting beat ) the game literally has no relevance to us. were not going down and were not going to finish in the top 7
Firstly thanks for calling me lad been a long time
Born off Scotland road now live in Bootle so technically not in Liverpool
Followed us home and away since late sixties. Had to watch them gain the upper hand in the seventies and eighties. Never once wanted Everton to lose a match.i think every Everton wants Liverpool to win nothing and I hate them with a passion. But as I say I want Everton to win every game. Being honest I don't think we are safe yet. 9 ponts between us and Cardiff. They play us at home. Can't see our next win. Hope I'm.wromg like. But following Everton for so long makes you think you he worst!!!!

Three points lost or gained tomorrow will not affect our season to any great degree. The points are more important to City at this stage of the season and although stranger things have happened at sea I can't see anything other than a win for the current league champions.
I watched the City v Arsenal game and was really impressed with the way City played. I think they have had their quota of peculiar results for the season and they will just be way to strong for whatever side Mr. Silva puts out. I don't want Everton to lose (never do) but would take a point right now and hope it doesn't come back to bite us if our friends across the park were to finish champions. Personally I don't think they will because they are starting to waver... but they are not my concern, Everton are. What will be will be and hopefully come May we will be hearing the usual red refrain... it's our year... next year!

Said this in a few threads now.

If you wanted/want us to loose V City you have zero credibility in crying when when loose now

Census is beating City we are helping them.
With that logic should roll over & loose every match (or better still liquidate as a club) because taking points off any team retrospectively helps Liverpool. Small-time mentality for a so called 'big club' We should continue bickering with West Ham if thats our mentality.

Not aimed at individuals more a collective observation of some 'fans' - I can only imagine it brushed off as 'banter' but it ain't as it was the same last time Liverpool were going for the league. Everton fans celebrating on City coaches amongst a list of embarrassments that day.
The fans have always been fickle - 'we're happy to win a cup over league position [outside of relegation]' Martinez prioritises cups gets sacked 'we were crap in the league'.

'I hope we get beat to stop Liverpool winning the league'

'Big club' not a chance, small time mentality from an obsessive fan base who would rather Everton loose at the detriment of Liverpool.
Start concerning yourself with affairs at Everton instead of giving a toss what goes on across the park.
There is no 'success' for us if Liverpool fail to win the league and if you deem it 'success' you are part of the problem.

I'm 25 i've not seen us win anything in my lifetime - I want us to win every game we play
It's spelt 'lose' you melt
