We're talking buttons in football terms. So yes, moronic is exactly what they are if that's the only logic behind letting Niasse go on loan and keeping DCL around.

Its it just that though is it. We're more likely to be able to sell DCL to some championship plodder, nobody is going to buy Niasse. That's my point, plus I think he can contribute more for the remainder of the season then DCL could.

It's doesn't really matter now anyway. Both are useless and will hopefully be gone come the summer.
