A manager has to have some kind of say in his team otherwise what is the point of him being there?
He can have a say without threatening the person who has the ultimate authority. If Brands caves then Silva has too much power and if he doesn't you have a manager who is unhappy. The DOF should be allowed to do his work without a manager doing something like this and especially not one who this far is closer to the sack than any real progress. If he did it I'd have him out the door.

True, I doubt he said it though.

Besic? Galloway really? How much money are we going to lose when McCarthy leave?

The only great RM signing was Lukaku. That’s it. Most of them were crap. There is no way to denying that.
Lescott fetched £25M. Rooney and Rodwell were home grown. We got £10M for Moyes best ever signing. Just think about that.

You can double that and it still wouldn't approach the enormity of the biggest Everton sale of all time.

Come on Dave.

Coleman £60k, Martyn something like £250k?, Cahill £1.7m, Arteta £2m, Pienaar £2m, Stones £3m, Jagielka £4m, Lescott £5m, Baines £5m rising to £6m etc.

That’s what you call proper scouting.

You know how much inflation there were between 2012 to 2017?

It’s like comparing orange and apple. Lescott left in 2009 not 2017. And Stones was bought by Moyes actually.

Inflation and transfer fee inflation are 2 different kettles of fish
PSG and City ruined the transfer market well before we did

Totally agree. If Silva goes it's unfortunate. If Brands goes it's devastating.
