Dont see the attraction with Lopetiigigigiui myself, hes never won a pot.

Not even gonna comment on Giggs.

That's why I said "assuming the very best are off limits" - which I believe they are, given the fact that despite all the bluster, our betters are no better than the betters in charge five years ago.

I firmly believe we are the only club that could go backwards so quickly after gettig a billionaire on board.

Everton are joint top of the Premier League in a very unwanted category - goals conceded from setpieces.

The number currently stands at 10, and after the Blues conceded three more of that variety at Championship bottom-feeders Millwall to crash out of the FA Cup and effectively end the 2018-19 season.

Missed a trick 4 years ago when Dunc should have had the gig. These mercenaries we have playing for us now don't know his legacy or his loyalty to Everton so it's too late for that now. Silva is a mistake, as was RK. However it's not the Everton I know any more so I'm shuddering at who they'll pick next.

That's not what you said tho. You said "give him in to next year and if *that* doesn't work out we can discuss" which brings us back to "who is available mid season".

And I have a strategy. YOU have a strategy. Hell, I would venture about 80% of people on this board have a strategy. The crux of it is called "execution" of said strategy which is why none of us is a premier league manager and, I would venture, will be Silva's end as well.
"Beyond this season" and "next year" are contradictory statements in what way?!

Carry on like this and it could be 15/16/17th never mind 10th.
...well let's find out. What we do know is that 11th in his first season with 7th within reach is not sackable territory.

Best get used to the fact that Silva is here for the short term at the very least.

I don't see any realistic choices for proven managers. None would join us at the minute. We are shambolic on and off the field and a bit of a basket case.

Left field choice like Arteta or Lampard is the way forward rather than Howe or whoever else happens to be having a decent months form.

I really want Silva to be successful but history suggests you don't recover from days like today. They are the turning point and everything from now on is delaying the inevitable. I can't be arsed with the rest of the season. We are a laughing stock, and need a lift from somewhere.

I’d make Anotinio Conte one of the worlds best paid managers

Get somebody in at Finch Farm to lob all his things into a couple of bin bags, then email him 7 am tomorrow to say he's fired and has until 9 am to collect his things from the front gates.

Truly awful manager. No idea why we got him in the first place.

Feel like you are replying to the wrong person as I never said *anything* about contradictory statements. Might want to have a lie down.

It's ok, flip flopping on this many issues can mentally wear a person down over time.

a club that is top 10...and that's well in Silva's grasp even this season.
That’s a very calm response to tonight’s events Dave. Given the upcoming fixtures, if what you predict is to come about, we’re about to see some brilliant performances from this disjointed mess of a team. I’m very much looking forward to it.
