'Playing The Ref'
Attempting to moderate the forum by stating what should, and shouldn't be discussed or attempts to get another user banned by posting things such as "abuse! ban him!" is totally unacceptable, and will not be tolerated on this forum. This is basically the internet equivalent of a footballer waving the imaginary yellow card at a referee, and is completely unhelpful. If you see a post that you believe is in violation of the forum's Rules and Guidelines or Terms of Service, it would be highly appreciated if you could use the "Report to Moderator" function to bring it to our attention.

"Report to Moderator" Function
This forum has a "Report to Moderator" function built into its software (located directly beneath all posts). The purpose of this function is to aid moderators in their duties. As you can imagine, it's not easy (nor plausible) for a small team of people to read every last post in every last thread on the forum, so this is where we need your help. If you see a post that you believe is in violation of the forum's Rules and Guidelines or Terms of Service, it would be highly appreciated if you could use the "Report to Moderator" function to bring it to our attention.

Also please be aware that, whilst reportings are not anonymous to administrators, all details will be kept strictly confidential and will not leave the admin forum. You will not, under any circumstances, be name dropped on the open forum for reporting a post in a genuine manner.

The upshot of this loan is that he won't be able to play against us. Cardiff also play all the teams around us, so hopefully Niasse can bag some jammy winning goals against those teams.

The most hilarious moment of the season when Oumar(who previously for us had great trouble just staying on his feet, let alone scoring!!)notched for Hull whilst on loan against the great unwashed;)lol

Fallen for the old trick again
There about to sign emiliani sala for 18m, no chance they will sign niasse aswell unless he is at least a 1 in 2 striker.

They are basically using niasse until the end of the season when he comes back along with bolasie, besic ramirez and co.
By which time his stock had fallen further and could end up doing a Ashley " your get no fee for me" williams

I disagree.

Niasse's wages will certainly have come into force here. He'll be on, what, 60k? The foreign fella they've bought won't be, i'd guess.

It's got 'Rodwell' written all over it.

Niasse wants his wages matched over a 4 year contract. Cardiff can't take that risk given they may go down.

Take him on loan now, buy in the summer IF they stay up.

If they don't, he'll hopefully have put himself in the shop window enough for someone to buy him. Didn't he nearly sign for someone after his Hull loan only for it to fall through?
Shop window technique. You can't expect clubs to saddle themselves with a high earner who doesn't even make the bench for a (currently) top 10 side.

Come on now Steve, I know you love a hard worker but you can't argue niasse is technically gifted

I think the negative comments are exaggerated for amusement by some posters. He's not as bad as some suggest, nor is he consistently good in the technique department. But that goal against Bournemouth was beautifully constructed almost single handed by Niasse. What he lacks in technique he makes up for in awareness and instinct. Watch him. He does one important thing in general play that we are always complaining that our strikers don't do. He is always on the move and attacks space and the six yard box at every opportunity. THat super cross from Bernard that our strikers stood and looked at...you could almost guarantee a goal if Niasse had been on the pitch. When it works for him he is very difficult to handle, and his work rate is commendable.

They are spending all of their money on sala 18m, they will use niasse and send him back when he has 1 year remaining

It's As if brands hasnt learnt from the other loan deals, it should of been they have to buy at the end of the season not option

But you don't think, if the lad scores 7 in 15 and they have another years PL money they wouldn't take Niasse on top of Sala?

I think Brands is trying, but in all honesty people won't pay big money for pretty ordinary players on high wages. The blame here lies with the guys who went before him doesn't it?
