ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

I think you should probably let our neighbours know this , this would seem to be new information to them .

Can you imagine if it was the other way round and City had just been beaten by Liverpool for the gap between them to cut to 4 points. How many articles would Sky and BT be rushing out now about how City would choke and Liverpool were gunning for them.

Has anyone read their match thread?

Not only is kompany not getting a red for his ball winning tackle the greatest injustice of all time but the grass was overly watered and grown long to "negate our passing game and help their direct running game".

Now that is delusion at its highest level. Has the person who wrote this ever watched Liverpool or Man City play before?

It still is sadly until they drop some more points. It’s a more precarious position for them than it was a few days ago though.
It's not anyone's year until the deed is done mate. If they do it then fair play. I might not like it but you can't be lucky over 38 games. It'd pain me but I'd get over it quickly. Screw them. I don't care what they achieve or win, I'd never change places with that shower of filth!

And us. If we've got on Derby performance in us, it better be this season.
They will not fancy it at all if their season is starting to slide or if they pick up
Why does a professional organisation still allow this senile fruitcake to write articles for them? This is the worst and most amateurish block of text I've ever seen come from a grown adult.

"The reds were just edged out"

haha, should have been 4 or 5 - 1. Klopps face afterwards told the story

The fixtures have really worked for them with the cup next, the first team will have time to regroup take in the situation of four points ahead with only three 'against the top six' fixtures left, and only one (United) away and think its doable.

When City lost it was back to back fixtures to follow, one after another, just to hit them when most vulnerable.

Like avoiding the Europa league congestion, this has really worked out for them - I'm pretty sure getting knocked out of the FA cup could be seen as beneficial for their chances of attaining their number one objective anyway.

City will be in everything including the League cup so I expect Liverpool's reserves at Molyneux and no tears at all if they go out.

Saying that though, the stats do point to a close game:

RS, possession 50% , 7 attempts on goal with 5 on target, corners 1.

Man City, possession 50%, 9 attempts on goal with 4 on target, corners 2.

Going out of cups on purpose is never a good thing and is small time. If Klopp throws away the FA cup then he is cranking up the pressure on his players to win the league. It can be looked at both ways, I’m sure the Liverpool players would want to play tomorrow to get back to winning as quickly as possible and forget this loss. Having a long break after it with a tricky cup fixture in the middle might be the key thing they want especially if they lose it. Intensity is difficult to turn off and on like a switch.

He'll make 7 or 8 changes. Only question is how seriously Wolves will take it. Have a feeling they may change their team a lot as well.

Still not clear to me why there was five minutes of stoppage time yesterday. A few fouls, no injuries that I can think of. Can only imagine how many minutes that would have been at Anfield!

I was fully expecting them to score when I saw that board go up.
