ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

This is the thing I know there injuries but a lot of these players should be rested and ready to go once properly match sharp. They've played a lot of the same players this season with a massive risk of burn out.

Klopp will throw the FA cup to give them a rest on Monday night. Does it every year yet never once gets called on it. Imagine the media reaction if Mourinho did it.

The whole world seems to forget that while a Liverpool went ahead of City, City were missing, Fernandinho, DSilva, Agüero, DeBruyne and Mendy. 5 nailed on first team players.

City are going to mop the league with these lads back.

With everyone available, City are by miles the best team in the league... Should have won at Anfield too....
We need Liverpool to pick up some injuries now, if they do they will drop points...

Shame goal line tech wasn't around in 05 when these horrible scruffs got into a Champions League final with a goal that didn't even come close to crossing the line.

They must be dreading VAR.

There is a massive burden of responsibility on us and Manchester United to win our home games against this filth and then to do the proverbial roll over and die routine when City visit our gaffs.

It truly is extraordinary how there is such a massive disconnect between the media and the fans of all other 19 clubs when it comes to the prospect of the RS winning the league. I fell down the Youtube wormhole watching Arsenal Fan TV recently and even the fellas on there were saying they'd leave the country if Liverpool won the league.

They are despised, nationwide, yet according to the press we should all be routing for these scumbags.... Beggars belief.
When something is rammed down my throat, I have the urge to spit it out.

I'm not going to root for Liverpool when we all know their fans would NEVER want us to win the league if it was the other way round.

How they react to this, and how they approach the CL now, is massive for their season.

They're still in the driving seat after a quite incredible turnover in December, but after suffering their first defeat and with City starting to find their form again it could potentially signal a turning point. They still have some tricky games to navigate and I reckon both the Goodison derby and United at Old Trafford could be squeaky bum time for them.

If they manage to navigate those successfully and keep City at arms length from hereon in then you can't really argue that they'll have deserved the title. Time to see what they're made of.

Agree with a lot of that except this. There is more chance of them winning 5-0 in that fixture than us getting a draw.

Disgusting behaviour from the supposed "BEST FANZ IN DA WORLD LAR!".......

They really don't have any shame at all do they? Nothing is off limit. There's absolutely no depths to low for them to plummet.
Let's wait for, "It was der Chelsea fans laaaaa" or "It wasn't him, he wozzzz in bed at the time".

Also....

Why? We drew both games last season with a worse side than this one. We should have won at Goodison and arguably didn’t deserve to lose the FA cup tie. We were within seconds of drawing at Anfield this season too. Us at Goodison will be a massive hurdle for them.

I hope you're right but just have no hope left in the fixture home or away. Even when we get chances 1-5 yards out which we have had on a few occasions in our last 2 matches we've missed. Gomes at Anfield, Tosun and Calvert Lewin at Goodison.

Expecting anything in that fixture is setting ourselves up for huge disappointment. They are also way better this season than last season when we drew with them.

Depends what the form is like. Only a few weeks ago we went to the Anfield derby wanting a win we were playing so well (and could have got it if Mina or Gomes could head a ball properly). Just because Liverpool had a good Decwmbwr doesn’t mean that when they come to Goodison they’ll be playing this way. We might be on a second half upturn just when they least want the game to fall you never know. City need to just win this weekend though to keep the pressure up and it would be great if Brighton played anywhere near what they play like against us rather than bending over for them again.
