I know it's completely irrational and unfair but I don't think there is anything Pickford can do to redeem himself in my eyes.

I agree. It may not be fair. But his unforgivable and inexplicable gaffe has not only cost us a well deserved draw against that lot but seemingly launched their title bid into the next level.
