Spot on. Manager MUST play who he thinks will be the best choice otherwise you have a weak manager. I don't believe for one moment that Silva will worry about hurting a players feeling. Cannot afford a weak manager and strong managers are usually good at diplomacy also.

You're correct. I would hope Kurt doesnt read too much into being dropped, though, when neither Lenglet or Laporte are called up either. Deschamps is a strange one picking Rami and Sakho.

Yes I heard it this morning ,on SSN I think it was.
Same programme had Higginbottom on the Everton / Chelsea game
He was full of praise for us and said Ricarlison , Siggy and in particular Gana were outstanding players

Very odd. Reminds me of Baines not getting selected for England for a tournament because there were rumours he was home sick.

On a side note, does anyone know if this Lenglet fella is any good? Read some Brands comments saying it was a close call between him and Mina as our primary target last Summer.
