It's designed that way to ensure the big clubs have as much chance as possible to get to the latter rounds

It's amazing how little shame these clubs have. They have a tournament where the odds are already massively stacked in their favour and even if they're stupid enough to mess it up they can still back door their way into the Europa League
Should never have introduced the drop into the Europa.
In fact, Europa should be a 2 legged cup competition again.

Same with the semis of the Carling Cup. Single leg the entire way then, magically, a 2 legged semi. Any team can fluke a one off. No way Fleetwood or whomever are going to beat City over 2 legs.

All designed to make sure the "bigger" teams go through.

Some copied meltdown posts from Rawk would be nice to read right now... or ‘legitimate’ reasons why they lost tonight if anybody goes on there and could oblige... thanks

When they get the 'Make us dream' banners out of the loft again! lol
On that subject, are we now the only top club in England that doesn't have naff, narcissistic and half-witted banners dotted around our stadium?
The law of averages suggests that there must be at least one person at the cesspit, Old Trafford or Essex FC who can see how embarrassing some of them are.

As someone of Serbian heritage I'm pretty happy with the result and a blue even more happy. The nonsense about Shaqiri is even more amusing. Shaqiri decided to do the Albanian eagle sign along with Xhaka, when he was playing for Switzerland not Albania. Nobody would be bothered, if he's done it while playing for Albania, but he did it just to wind up Serbs. Klopp should of just admitted that if Shaqiri travelled he would of got seriously hurt, it had nothing to do with focusing on football. A lot of the Serbian police fought against the Albanians in the Kosovo war, or had family who were killed during nato bombings, so they could be relied on either. Anyway, Liverpool and their laughable "loyal" supporters have been shown to be pathetic compared to proper supporters like Red Star Belgrade's.

had a wander across before, bored at work, to have a look and a giggle. To be fair a lot of comments echo a lot that has been said on here; team isn't as good as last year, midfield is lightweight, Klopp making poor line up choices and subs etc etc. I think it was weird dave K who was saying that fans would turn on Klopp when the master plan fails to deliver, again, and he could be very very right.

Sounds like that was a proper atmosphere there tonight. A few comments from the RS over there about RSBelgrade being a small team. Zero respect, no surprise there. And lots going on about how Shaqiri must play every game. Oh yes, it's always the one player missing who could have made all the difference. And Klopp getting dogs abuse for not having the balls to take him. Whats the worse that would happen? the coach gets attacked on the way to the game?? Can't be having nonsense like that can we.

Hilarious over on RAWK. The comments about how it would all have been different if 'Shaq' had gone over there

Does make you wonder what such a Cadillac of men is doing warming the bench match after match... Good old 'Shaq'...

Even better was Alvin Martin on TalkShoite tonight during the commentary, after they had announced happily that Red Star were deservedly 14-1 in a two horse race, and that it would be 'one way traffic'. After the first goal went in a clearly traumatised Martin announced 'that even looked as if it might have been an error from Van Dijk, of all people. 'Of all people'... :coffee:

Then in the second half, Stojkovic goes down under a tackle. The goon Martin announces smugly 'The Red Star players will go down whenever they can now that Liverpool are dominating. I think we can safely say he won't be going off injured!'

Two minutes later...

'Oh, he is going off injured. Well, I'm surprised at that...'

Comedy gold, realy. Comedy gold... :D
