Richarlison at right back is up there for worst shout in the history of GOT
What happened to our team? Where has all our flair players gone? Dcl and tosun in our best XI? My eyes.
Tbf to Nymz if you are gonna play 3 at the back with wing backs without Coleman or Kenny then it has to be Davies or Richarlison. If you just put Coleman in for Richarlison and put Richarlison up top then it looks sound.

I saw one poster on here mention this about Silva and it does seem to go a tad unnoticed, but his ruthlessness has been brilliant so far. How many managers have we seen go by constantly playing the odd player when the whole fanbase can see they're not good enough. Thinking of players like Howard, jagielka, schneiderlin, neville, osman etc.

Jags makes one mistake and hasn't seen a minute since thankfully. Schneiderlin can't even make the squad now that other midfielders have come in. Baines had a decent start to the season, but he knew digne was better and brought him straight in after one mistake.

It'll only raise standards and we know mina will be straight in as soon as one of the worser centre backs than him make a mistake.

I wouldn't be surprised if Walcott will be on the bench Saturday.

But I don't see the issue with Coleman or Kenny playing there. They're both attacking right backs, Kenny would flourish in that role more than at RB imo.

It's more the dcl and tosun up front when richarlison and Walcott could play there and be better options than dcl. And no Bernard makes me cry.

Pickford
Coleman Keane Mina Zouma Digne
Gomes Gueye Siggurdsson
Bernard
Richarlison
May be fairly sexy, but we have loads of wingers, it'd be a bit silly to not play a formation without wingers.

Bernard and Richarlison are two of our best players.
Silva is rendering them and the sides attacking potential impotent by playing them this way.
He is sapping the creativity, craftiness, style and confidence by playing them this way.

Gomes and Benard should be in the half space, on the ball, controlling the moments of attack.
Bernard is not a PL winger. He's the guys that recieves the ball in tight spaces, dribbles, get the pass away for Richarlison or Sig or the RW, as does Gomes.
Bernard on the left doing this Gomes on the right. In the half spaces. Its simple.
Why Silva is not using them in this way, preferring to Bernard out on the wing is beyond me.
Rico to Bernard should have been the other way round. Goal!

Maybe because he has Siggurdson at 10? Or because we don’t have a midfielder like Fernandinho who can ply the holding role by himself allowing this two floating attacking players, a system that only City have the quality to play in this league.

Personally I'd just keep the team as it is, I'm just going along with the 5 back idea. But it doesn't look bad in that team. Certainly is an option if needs be.

Yeah me too, was just demonstrating a much better back five without our best player at RWB and dcl with tosun up front. I agree Coleman has been bad, but he's not been "go to five at the back and stick richarlison at RWB" bad.

Which is his best position. But Walcott and Coleman suck and I don’t want them anywhere near the starting XI at the minute.

I'd stick with Coleman. An out of form Coleman is still twice as good as Kenny.

If he wants to bench Walcott for Lookman, or for a centre forward and push Richarlison out wide, then I wouldn't argue. But I'd tend to want to stick with Walcott too.

I can’t see it happening, I don’t mind the 4-3-3 we have, I just remember he mentioned not so long ago in a presser about a back 3 so thought I’d guess at how it might look.

Ideally if Coleman was actually any good these days he’d be there and we could just go 3-4-3 or something.
