Well it's looking less and less likely now that they will be called off....which utterly amazes me in this day and age of football where matches are called off at the drop of a hat.

I mean, we were all stunned the day Howard died suddenly but no one suggested cancelling the game against United later that very same day.

True but not quite true. While in the stadium before the game Wayne Rooney went in to the Everton dressing room and offered not to play the game as a mark of respect to Howard. The same representation was made from Man United upstairs where the directors were mingling. It was played because it was too close to kick off for tv companies to do anything else and also fans were already arriving at the ground.

i agree, i just think walcott's pace on such a big pitch would give us a great outlet, especially for the first half/first hour. Walcott has started the season alright tbf, just not great last couple of games, but i think our best way to a win today will be with him starting and lookman coming on like he did v palace. It won us the game that way around, so i wouldn't want us to jump into changing it just yet.
