Very strange that the occupants of the helicopter have not been confirmed.

They must know who was on board and surely all families would know about the crash now given its high profile.

In the meantime rumours persist of further high profile figures being involved, a player, manager, international manager and owner.

There needs to be an announcement to stop the rumours.

It’s not strange at all, they need to establish facts and then follow the relevant procedures before releasing information.

There hasn’t been announcement because doing the right thing by giving next of kin time to be informed and have a few hours of privacy before the media circus gets fully under way.
Yet, Bob from Accrington and the rest of them are all furious because they doesn't have all the gorry details from social media at their instant request

Even though, they have no personal relation to the incident except a passing interest and while it would be at the emotional expense of those who do.

He just tries to dress it up as a way of stopping the rumours to seem less of a tit, the reality is that he's gutted he doesn't have a direct line to the investigators and he's reached the point on Twitter where the same rumours are circulating so he needs something new to get his teeth into.

I mean it's not just him, just seems the way a lot of people are now, I'd happily see them all placed on an island together with no internet.

To be fair when major incidents like this happen you do usually have the number of deaths/injured confirmed by now... not names... but at least more details.

What difference does it make to anyone outside the immediate families how many people died? Why do you care?

It doesn’t make any difference to me but it’s a simple fact that usually such information has been released by now. When there are mass shootings, terrorist attacks or plane crashes etc these figures are usually released promptly to the media.

It seems to be the world we live in now , everyone wants to know everything about everything within seconds or it’s a huge conspiracy. A bit of dignity or civility wouldn’t go amiss .

As for the accident itself it seems to be a genuine tragedy and like so many things because of a tenuous connection, in this case football it seems to resonate. By all accounts the owner was a thoroughly decent man I heard reports he donated a £1m to a children’s hospital the day Leicester won the league .

Very sad for all those affected.

Usmanov to Leicester?

Wouldn't shock me. Crisis incidents at ownership level always seem to open up a vacuum for some filthy rich to take advantage on the cheap shamefully.

See Man City under Shinawatra with the corruption charges leading to Sheikh Mansour stepping in.

Chelsea with Bates and later Abramavich

Even Villa have some wealthy Egyptian bloke own them after the problems with the Chinese Dr.

Claude Puel speaks on Leicester helicopter tragedy: “I am fine, but dreadfully sad.”
