I agree, he plays confidently but doesn't have the pace or intelligence to do it properly and too often loses his man, eg Ings numerous times this season.

Yep, and after the second one he then dived in in their half, was easily skipped past, and completely took himself out of the game. 5 seconds that summed up his everton career for me.

He looked better than alright didn't he mate. In fact I'd say he was one of the very few that could walk off the pitch with his head held high.

The first pass was ridiculous, he literally crapped himself so played a blind pass hoping someone would get it and then to get lucky, get it back and then fail again to play a simple 10 yard pass out wide just isn't acceptable at this level

..i’m not a fan even if he has been producing relatively solid performances. For the Southampton goal, Ings drew him out and then he ran blindly back into the box without any view of where the ball was, what was happening in play and where he’d left Ings.

He was absolutely shocking last night eggs he really was. The amount of times he's not ready for a pass, the amount of times he doesn't know when to go and when to get back, the mistimed headers, the countless misplaced passes.

No where near the level needed to play for us if we have any aspirations of becoming a better footballing side. Him and Zouma together look absolutely lost as a pair
