Very very disappointed in him tonight. Absolutely no need to put that side out, and he didn’t do enough tactically to change things - swapping dowell and lookman in the first half being an obvious shake up that we seemed to ignore.

No knee jerk reactions needed but that’s a definite blot on his copy book as far as I’m concerned.

I've said it before but it will take a few transfer windows for any manger to get close to sorting this club out. We could probably do with a refresh in the boardroom also. Mediocrity flows through us at the moment.

That being said tonight wasn't the time to rotate and give Southampton a shot at beating us. Prefer doing it the other way around, get a few goals and rest the key players.

No team ever stays the same in this league, teams improve, teams get worse, no game of football EVER produces the same result over and over again, well unless its us at Anfield.

What I mean is the like in Moyes had done his job. He consistently got us 5th-7th with a crap net spend.

I do feel the squad has improved except the departure of Lukaku (last summer) of course.
A manager is employed to get the best out of a squad. If not, he is not doing his job. And we have been spending huge for like 3 seasons now.

Players are mostly rested so they dont get injured in meaningless games, its not just about fitness.
