Mourinho on the Brink, need to be ready to pounce.
If he was offered the same amount (or more) money we have spent in the last 5 transfer windows I think he would take it.
Won at least one trophy at every club he has managed since 2002, but not good enough for here

Just like rashford vardy and batsuayi
Moutinho is too old
Wanyama or dembele not good enough

People on here are crazy
Wins trophies tho and that's what is needed here
Prefably a fa cup but a league cup would suffice.
Plenty of people want mourinho

So, still the same guy
So
Get him in, win a trophy, get rid and pay him off.
Doesn't have it anymore?????
He won 2 trophies just last year
Sorry but the managers we have had so far havent won anything/very little.
Mourinho has been there and done it
2 trophies last year and got to the fa cup final in may this year.

It may not be pretty but he gets you there.

Your talking about keeping a manager that has won nothing and been sacked from half of his managerial appointments and relegated a team and not going for mourinho.

If he is available and he wants to come the club have to get him, it's that simple.
Or stick with Silva and hope the opposition miss all of their chances like fulham did.

This just bewilders me...

Silva is a progressive young manager who knows how to motivate and play and attacking style which is pleasing to watch...

Hes certainly not been sacked for performance at any of his jobs bar Watford when we turned his head.

The signings we have made in one summer are superior to Uniteds under Mourinho.

Hes the one to take us back to the top...

Ye just like Martinez, he just won the fa cup, this is the young up andcoming manager to take us forward.

Just like Koeman, he did well at Southampton despite losing most of his best players, this is the guy to take us forward

Silva, he plays attractive football, this is the guy to take us forward

How about signing an experienced manager that has a track record of managing big teams and winning trophies, how about that?

Whether he's the one to take us 'to the top' is probably up for debate, like. He definitely has his faults, but so does every other manager.

What he is is a step in the right direction, and we have seen this season that when it clicks we are capable of playing some really good stuff.

No

...still a little concerned about our full backs going missing upfield in games. A few instances on Saturday of a quick break leaving us outnumbered and completely exposed. Apologies if I sound a bit ‘Allardyce’ but we can’t be gung-ho, we still need to be difficult to break down.

This concerns me too, and the only way of really getting around it is by not turning over possession in midfield when the full backs have pushed up.

We need someone in the middle of the park who'll make opposing midfielders drop a few more yards. As it stands I reckon teams know that when Gana is on the ball he poses little offensive threat and it makes us susceptible to a turnover & subsequent counter. We need a quality ball-carrier who'll never lose the thing and will knock it into the forwards 99.9% of the time.

Exactly
Back when I was playing and doing my coaching courses you were always told only one FB attacks and the opposite full back tucked in to cover the the 2CB who would have shifted over to the side of the pitch we were attacking
It’s like all 4 are on a piece of string and they all move together depending on where the ball is

..the George Graham piece of string worked so effectively at Arsenal.

It’s not just both full-backs being caught upfield, Gareth Barry provided licence for Leighton Baines over many seasons. The Barry or Lee Carsley role requires real discipline to ironically ensure you don’t run around too much. I guess that’s why Carsley rarely missed a game and Barry has had such longevity.

A manager that has gone into meltdown at every club he's been at when things haven't gone his way.

We are Everton and he won't have experienced a car crash like us before. He would retire from the sport within 6 weeks of managing us.

thats fine, wins trophies in his first 2 seasons, third season melt down and then leaves

That's how Silva plays. It puts a huge onus on our midfielders to be mobile, disciplined and tenacious, and also to look after the football and not leave us exposed by losing it in bad areas.

I don't think he's going to change his style so we need very athletic fullbacks who can bomb up and down all day, but also very well rounded footballers in midfield who are also athletes.

Just look at Guardiolas first season. He had sagna, zabaleta and clichy who were all well past their physical best. Then he spent 100m on full backs and 100 points later no one is criticising him anymore. Football has changed, and Silva plays the right way. But he needs time to get the correct personel to be able to do it effectively.
