Nobody is blaming him for wanting to see if there are better options. The blame is being placed on Everton, specifically Brands, because - as someone said above - we haven't learned from Witsel.

I understand doing this with a player on the off chance it'll come off if they're a proper superstar and it's a punt, but it's not - it's Yerry Mina. We need centre halves for the new season, we can't afford to be sitting on our hands waiting for this to come off. Especially given it's not a goer, at all, and never was.
