You have to think it's mentality, think the lad has just given up concentrating and putting the effort in. Honestly think he believes he is better than what he is working with. Which only compounds the problems.
Often when we concede or poor defensive play I see him throw his arms up in the air as if to say "FFS" like he isn't part of the issue.

his defending is shocking, he doesn't mark up properly, gets turned inside out too often, and when we concede i often just see Keane sort of looking round aimlessly. As if someone else was supposed to be doing the defending

Needs to be binned asap, not shown anything to suggest he can be part of a defence to build around and just continues to show anytime a ball goes behind him it's automatically a goal scoring chance.

He gets worse every time he plays. That was a shocking lack of effort and reading of the game. He is absolutely 100% the worst centre back I've ever seen play for Everton. I'd take Carl Tiler and Kroldrup as a pair compared to Keane and Jags.

Shockingly poor. Not seen him have a decent game for Everton either in season or out of season. As long as Everton have players of such limited ability, courage and desire we’ll remain also-rams because that’s where we deserve to be...in with the West Ham’s, the Bournemouth’s and the Burnleys. We’ve got to aim higher, look further afield for players with pace, strength and a winning mentality.
Just look at the determination, speed, agility and accuracy of everything a young Rennes Team did out there...I reckon their whole squad put together earn less in a week than Baines, Jagielka and Keane. It shows you can build a decent footballing side with pots of money....their movement, pace and finishing were excellent, albeit aided by a defence (bar Coleman) that is begging to have Ashley Williams back in,
