i dont think anyone knows a thing about mina, just that he is contracted to barcelona and scored a couple of headers at the WC. youd think if he was any good being so young and physical barca would hang on to him?

Rojo? left footed cb entering his prime. not my first choice but could fit the role nicely

No thanks to Rojo mate.

i know that he was playing in defence in the only game barca lost in la liga last season and their fans were not impressed with him

Me too mate, Richarlison, Mina and one of Digne/Tierney would be a very positive window especially if we can get shot of a few more of the duffers in the squad.

We still desperately need a creative midfielder mind and I dont rate Tosun either.

Agree that Richarlison, Digne and Mina would be a great window, with another 3/4 of the surplus players loaned or sold.

Would love a midfielder but we need to sell at least 1 or 2 in that position first, realistically.

Don't agree on Tosun, not a world beater but will be fine in a team that creates chances. Scored 5 in 14 for a Fat Sam team that created virtually nothing.

I don’t know about Mina.

I do know about Rojo.

I’d rather Mina.

I must admit to being mildly concerned at the lack of movement on the defenders front.
To me it’s arguably the most important position for us to sort out. We need a dominat Centre half to deal with crosses in our box and preferably one with pace, that will allow us to push up and squeeze teams.

I think if Barcelona sign either Malcolm or Willian its a certainty they move Mina.

However, that DOESNT mean to us, and doesnt mean it will be a purchase rather than a loan, though that is looking likely.

In fairness Tim, Silva said yesterday that we are in talks for Digne. We're definitely in talks for Mina.

Like, if we do manage to get two of Barca's defenders in, it's not bad. It would have been nice to have them done sooner, mind, but still, considering Mina isn't even back until later this week it's not really a huge issue I suppose.

But, there has been a lack of names touted as alternatives. So hopefully it's the case that we've got those targets and they just aren't known, and not that we've put all of our eggs in one basket (again).

All starting to make sense now. Everton make a phantom bid for Malcolm, knowing full well we won't get him. Start a bidding war between Roma and Barcelona. Whilst those 2 are busy fighting it out for the Brazilians signature we quietly slip in Lozano, our real target, via the back door.

Barcelona win the battle over Malcolm, taking up a valuable non EU slot in the process, freeing up the big man to sign for us too.

Double whammy as they say;)
