Weirdly, I'm one of them people. I just can't seem to fathom what makes him as effective as he is. He contributes little to build up and I don't think in his entire footballing career he has ever had the ball under control.

However... he does seem to do a job. He did well against Bury (post hitting aside) and he does have a good attitude. As an impact sub I can see his uses but he isn't a starter.

I think his close control is actually pretty good, gets him out of a lot of tough situations. not so great at controlling a ball belted into his feet.

I think people focus too much on his weaknesses and neglect to see his strengths as he does have them.

He isn't even the worst footballer in our current squad...

There is a difference between a good footballer and a good player I reckon, as daft as that sounds.

No for me he is a terrible footballer.

But for some reason he comically keeps scoring goals, ive never seen anything like it in my entire life, it shouldnt work, but it does, ALL THE TIME.

Because he is a good player if not quite a good footballer.

Conversely someone like Morgan Schneiderlin is a good footballer. Neat and tidy, ticks loads of boxes but if he cant be bothered or doesn't effect a game then whats the point?

He’s the perfect reserve striker.
Not on a huge contract.
Never complains despite being on the bench & even the horrendous treatment by Koeman.
Always gives 100%. Gives defenders something to think about with his pace & willingness to chase everything.
He scores goals!

We’ve got some real dross on our books & at least 5 of them on bigger contracts than Oumar. Until we bring in at least 2 strikers better than him, it would be madness to let him go.

The proof is in the pudding and when he's on the pitch we look better and are certainly more dangerous. As much as I'm rooting for tosun and I think he'll do well, for all the nice touches or lay offs, a lot of the time he doesn't do diddly squat in the box, whereas Oumar comes on and has 5-6 chances and causes havoc. Evident last season when we always played better and he always made an impact when he was on the pitch

Long story short, Oumar is God and the disbelievers will be CRUSHED
