Champions League Final

To be fair first 25 minutes he didn't have a kick of the ball and Liverpool were at their most dangerous then. No indication that he'd have suddenly turned up and scored a load. Madrid weathered the 'storm' and after first 25 minutes were far, far superior.

Him going off took any sort of fear Real had of their attacks away - especially later had Real begun to tire and then Salah and Mane could find joy in behind.

There was no worry of Firmino dragging Varane out of position and allowing Salah/Mane two vs one with out of position stragglers.

It's all hypotheticals at this point but that's how they've played all year.

It is rare you get other clubs fans genuinely supporting another club in the same league to wn something, Leicester for example was quite unusual.

Liverpool have also gone out of their way to have quite intense rivalries, not just with us but with Man Utd, Chelsea and more recently Spurs and Arsenal - karma has her price.

This is the thing. When Dynamo Kiev knocked us out, I saw kopites cracking chicken Kiev jokes. When Atalanta knocked us out, I had the piss ripped out of me by a group of them on Twitter. I asked why they were commenting on the official Everton Twitter. They said, "To laugh at you, it's rivalry, get over it." But when WE do it...FFS, Arsenal and Spurs fans mock each other, City and United fans mock each other, Brummies and Villans were ripping the piss out of each other yesterday, Wednesdayites and Blades mock each other, Cambridge and Peterborough fans mock each other. Liverpool aren't an exception and they're perfectly happy to spend half their season mocking Spurs, who aren't even their rivals. Even the squad themselves jumped on the anti-Harry Kane bandwagon, for crying out loud.

I was thinking this, he could have just had some pain killers and cracked on. Not a chance Ramos would have went off had it been the other way round.

Not defending him, but a shoulder injury, even one that turns out to be pretty minor, at the time can be horrendous to endure.

So until its properly scanned, not a chance a physio or player knows exactly what the damage might actually be.
