They gave him an oral English test with Wayne, but nobody could understand a word he was saying.

Emery spoke excellent English, mind you.
 

Anybody know if he's a big fan of carthorse central defenders and attempting to park the bus even in what should be simple home fixtures?

In fairness that's exactly how I felt when Allardyce was appointed manager. So I can't really criticise somebody else for having the same feelings, albeit about a different manager.

However I do disagree with him 100%. Silva isn't my first choice, but after what we've had to put up with for the last few years I'm quite excited at the prospect of what a combination of Brands and Silva can bring to the club.
