I give the Everton communications team a lot more slack than most people because that’s my line of work and I understand the reasons they can’t do some of the things people want them to do... but letting BFS go on TV for a live interview as Everton manager if they know he’s getting the sack is absolutely inept PR.

I disagree, imagine had we sacked him this morning- it would have been harsh on Alladyce then having to come on the show facing the media talking about managers/LMA when he hasnt exactly come off the back of 8 straight league defeats for example.

People need to chill out, its about 80% likely he will be gone this week stop being like children and wait for wednesday/thursday to come.

If you sack him before the show, either they don’t interview him at all, or they do interview him and he says something that makes him look worse. Especially since he’s pocketing 6 million as he leaves (which you would of course refer to in your graceful public statement).

What that stat does not tell you is that Arsenal all but imploded and Burnley went three months without a win after Sam took over.

Tbh nothing he can say will make the club come out of this looking good. The media narrative has been set that Everton should be eternally grateful and had we sacked him today all of the show would have been is Jim slagging us off and being trigger happy with the LMA bloke calling for clubs to give more time etc.

People also forget that this isn't a sacking in the sense of "you've done a bad job now GTF"

Its more a "you've done a decent job but we are looking to go our separate ways so we wont need you next season"

He'll likely be gone by Friday fans just need to calm down.
