Gladly pay it to him, looked like we may be in a relegation scrap when he arrived, he kept us up comfortably which we are grateful for. What we can't forgive is the dire football on display once we were safe, had we opened up and tried to play some decent stuff and still got beat I think most of us could have accepted it but he still plays to not lose and hopes to nick a win. Not good enough.

It's a drop in the ocean compared to what we've wasted this season. I don't begrudge him a penny. We went to him begging, and he played us like a fiddle. We can't even complain he's not done what he'd say he'd do.

They should be locked the minute it gets announced.

Can they somehow be burnt an then never spoken of again? We could all just agree never to talk about this season again like the Twilight Zone episode this season has been! Future generations will ask about the 17/18 season and we just give them a scared look an tell them, if they value their lives they’ll forget they asked that question and for their own safety they need to forget all about ‘that season’ as that was the year football died

Get that, but still can't comprehend the reasoning of anyone who genuinely think/thought he'd be here next season.

We had someone else lined up for next season the day we had to relent an bring him in.

The clubs silence doesn't help. There will be doubt right up to the moment he leaves but now more than ever it's pretty clear Allardyce will not be in charge after Sunday.

Them two quotes are taken out of context. The key word missing is negotiations, he goes on to explain that the role of a manager has changed in recent years and its not in there role to be involved with negotiations as in years gone by.

For once I agree with BFS. I don't think he has had his position confirmed one way or the other by the club. But he'll know whats being said in the media and, despite what he says he knows the fanbase is against him. So he'll know he's in a very precarious position.

I'm not surprised he got a bit narky at the presser. He's not as thick skinned as people think and can't handle criticism or people questioning his ability.

After the pre-season optimism, it's been one of the darkest periods I can remember.

In previous pressers Sam has been jovial and relaxed. Today he was anything but, bordering on being rude.
