shudders

To be fair the revamped Ibrox was mildly impressive 30 years ago when it was built, however it is showing it's age now and is needing money spent on it that Rangers haven't got.

There has to be some fancy skyline sydney opera house silhouette...or else whats the point
And I want Leitch crisscrosses and an updated copy of the gable from the old main stand
Oh and the 1 remaining square clock is a must...and 4 big floodlight towers, 40ft blue and white 'liverbirds resurgent' front and back ( no the rs DON'T own the copyright, only to the cartoon version on their shirts)

Get rid of 122 seats and we have 51,878.

Biggest clue you'll ever get.

I was going to post this image but I would have exceeded the maximum 10 limit.

Whilst it has some of the elements mentioned, it's not a bowl or a straight 4 sided ground. It has the red brickwork, the glass and pays deference to the Leich architecture and although I personally think it's one of the better more bolder designs (If you can forget the big mad Everton sign) I can see no reference to "maritime heritage". However the biggest issue with this design may be that it can by no means be described as "Breaking the mould" or "Iconic".

I think the Leitch crisscross design may well feature as part of the outside of the ground rather than the inside.

A question to ask would be, for a stadium to be iconic, does it have to be iconic in form, or iconic in function?

Another question of course, could be.... why not both.

I want one that looks like the Bird's Nest in Beijing. Imagine that with Royal Blue lighting shining out.

How about the floodlights are liverbirds but with their eyes being the floodlights. Not being blue eyes shooting out laser light.
