What the club needs is a real statement of intent. Most Evertonians are tired with the bluster and there's suspicions that those who are running our club are maybe in it for financial gain.

I don't have a problem with that, if the club is competing. Are we? It feels like we are as far away as ever. The narrative that we are in transition is seductive, and we've heard it all before, until the club shows a genuine intention to smarten up and establish itself again.
