Just when you thought the Manager could not possibly get any worse, he comes out with yet another whopper saying that he will start giving his new 27 million pound striker some game time when Everton are safe from relegation. Couldn't make it up. Someone wake me up when this fool is no longer the Manager of Everton please.

“As time goes on and the more we get closer to our safety the more we can release and see what he's got. There is no doubting his goal-scoring ability but you have to have the capabilities to get in those positions to score, and that is the hard bit. We have to try to be patient as the team are winning without him.”

So according to Sam we'll see more of him when we get closer to safety. :hayee:
He does have a point though.

I want Cenk to play as much as anyone, but whilst Niasse is scoring and we're accumulating points in a period where we're still having to glance over our shoulders then it's right that he should wait it out for now.

A 27m purchase on someone you don’t trust!

He can still be given some game time mate. We were 3-0 up Saturday, controlling the game comfortably, and before Gana got injured Allardyce was planning to bring on Bolaise, he could have easily given Tosun a run out.

Also, got to remember, this lad was playing champions league footy not that long ago (and supposedly impressive) and according to Allardyce, for the money he was one of the best in Europe, but for some reason he can't get any game time with us because he's 'not ready' It makes me wonder if we had actually watched him before we paid the £27m!

No he doesn’t have any point whatsoever!
Don’t go and spend 27m on someone who doesn’t walk straight into the team.

Agree, but he's stated a couple of times now that he will get games before the end of the season. There's 11 games left, still plenty of time to slowly start bedding him in.

Or perversely, when we stop winning without him lollol

So with Niasse currently averaging a goal or assist every game he should be dropped to make way for someone just because we recently spent £27m on him? What happens if he continues to stink the place out and costs us points as a result?

We should play whomever is in form regardless of price, especially at a time when we're not mathematically safe yet.

Steve Walsh bases everything off the stats and algorithms and had no real idea as to whether the players are going to adapt in reality.

You can see it with Klaassen, Sandro and Tosun. All the stats look great on paper but all have struggled massively.

Is this the manager that turned round Benteke, rekindled Defoe’s career to get an England call up and found and developed Kevin Davies. He is also the manager that Walcott has said was a fundamental reason for him signing. Nope, doubt he knows as much about strikers as most on here. Oh, wasn’t he also the manager who really gave Niasse a second chance? The manager deserves some grief but seriously, some of the points on here are plain daft.
No is the short answer to your questions to your mate.

What 'turned round' with Benteke? A striker who had just been bought for £32m, who had 8 goals in 17 games when Allardyce took over at Palace, and finished with 15 in 36?

Defoe's career didn't need rekindling. He just made the (rather odd) decision to go to Toronto when he was still very much a top striker and in the England reckoning. His England recall actually came under Moyes, in a season when he scored just as many goals as he did under Allardyce. Moyes of course having a glittering reputation for getting the best out of strikers.

And he 'found' Kevin Davies? 26 year old Kevin Davies, with over 100 PL appearances and a £7.5m transfer under his belt, that Kevin Davies? The same Kevin Davies who enjoyed his best goalscoring seasons before and after working with Allardyce, rather than under him?

Finally, no he wasn't the manager who gave Niasse another go. Niasse had played in the last 8 games that he'd been eligible for prior to Allardyce taking over.

Apart from that though...

Allardyce admits that even though Tosun’s fitness levels were up to scratch in the Turkish league, they are currently not at the required level in England.

“It is a struggle in the Premier League.” he said.

Yet Bolasie just gets thrown in when ever possible. lol lol

What's the fitness test exactly? How many sausage rolls you can eat in a minute?!
