I don't agree on your second para mate. Sam wasn't Moshiri's first choice. Him and Walsh will not have had contact about any particular individuals until Sam all-but got the job.

I imagine he and his team of scouts put together recommendations based on what the manager identifies as a need.

He has enough of a remit to sign younger players like Lookman and Vlasic but I'd say the manager is still the final say and then it's his job to go to the negotiating table and get the deal done.

It deffo should be..but when a club moves the goal posts by £ 10 mill...allegedly, would he be then blamed for over spending...rock and a hard place

well, we may well have moved for them or be interested, I don't know, but they are not the player I was referring to.

My general point is based on how relatively quickly the Tosun deal has come about (the first links of interest were just prior to Christmas), it'd suggest our priorities changed slightly in terms of which position we got through the door first (even though a striker has been needed all along, as well).

Pray to God it's not another domestic transfer you're talking about mate, because taking s clubs best player who can cover multiple positions and for a price not to be sniffed at is exactly what we've been doing the last three windows with amazing results...
