And on top of the 65 for tickets, I just spent another 200 quid on train tickets (coming from Edinburgh) and hotel for the night.

They better bloody win

Mate, make sure you get in touch with Everton and get a pic of you and your son put in the match programme, I'm sure they will do it as it's such a hike you've done. Also contact them about getting a shout out at half time, again I'm sure they will do it. You'll find the email addresses on the website but if you need any help pm me and I'll find the email addresses for you.

Thanks, I’m not really a “shout out” kind of guy, however if the game gets called off, I will be going the full Ric Wee on them ;)

Enjoy. I seem to recall that Lower Gladwys are pretty much the only seats available if you need two seats, as all others are generally sold out/occupied by season ticket holders by the time general sale opens up; even if you buy the overseas 4Everton thingy (which gets you 3 days before general sale or something like that), you still are pretty much stuck with seats in LG.

PMSL.

The view will be awful, but you'll be at Goodison, and that's all that counts.

If we're poor, you won't see much of the game, which could be a bonus, but if we get a result, the place will be rocking, and the back of the Lower Gwladys is the best place to be when the ground's like that !

Don’t build up your hopes too much, we have ways to upset the strongest of fans. Remember that the crappy ground you are in has history and age about it, like an aged aunt who has seen better days, but is still your favourite relative. Don’t be too upset when our own fans moan and complain like hell and give the players untold stick, someone has to. Shout and scream, swear at the ref for not giving us any decisions, but whatever happens just enjoy the atmosphere it really is unique...

I am heading back to the UK in Dec & Jan for the first time in 10 years and have just got tickets for me and my son to go to Goodison for the first time ever.

Man Utd. New years day. Lower Gladwys.

Here’s hoping for a wonderful hangover cure from the boys in blue

...saw a nice story of a Dad and lad over from Perth for the Chelsea game. The youngster has had a tough year so when he turned up in the Everton shop it was Wayne Rooney who served him. The club do things like that very well.
