I assume Planning permission will be fairly straightforward from here, or else this would not have been signed today.

I would have thought that the process of finance would have been close to resolving by now considering that they announced the model some 6-7 months ago.
 

A small, but important, step in finally getting a new ground.

Doubtless some will find something to moan about though. There'll probably be delays over the next few years which will be excellent opportunities for the ( understandably ) cynical to latch on to, but there's no way that Peel would be announcing stuff like this is, if it wasn't likely to happen.

As far as Peel are concerned, the Liverpool Waters work is a business proposition, they're doing a similar thing at Trafford Waters.

Incidentally, the wools among us will know that for years that the sewage works reeked whenever you went over Barton Bridge ( which is right next to Trafford Waters ), but there's been a lot of work done recently to control that. I wouldn't be surprised to see United Utilites doing similar work at Sandon / Wellington.
