Hes not in his 30s tho, hes 28.

Yes but if he signed a five year deal that leaves him with about 3 years in his 30's, which I thought was the original point to begin with ?

This conversation is utterly ridiculous anyway, he's never coming here in a million years. I almost feel embarrased just discussing it.

That we can agree on.

If the working relationship between Walsh and Koeman was as poor as it is rumoured, then, with him now in charge of Allardyce and Shakespeare, people he knows, trusts and has worked with before, I'm hopeful ( mainly because of the Chorley old-boys network tbh ) that we'll start some sort of plan being operated over the next twelve months.

There's no hiding now though, Moshiri's plainly made his choice, and it's up to Walshy to start delivering.

Yes it is and you can bet your life scouts/clubs will take it into consideration. Im glad you're not in charge of scouting if you don't think players losing pace in their 30's is an issue lol

If he signed in January (or any other player of the same age who relies on speed)...

He has 3-4 months of football where he will be getting used to a new country and league...

In June he is 29...lets say we get a great season out of him...hes then 30.

At 30 we don't know if he will be the same player he was nor do we know if he will begin to get small injuries and have longer recovery times...

So, effectively once he has settled in...he has 1 season before he begins going downhill.

ORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

A World Class player would hit the ground running from his first day and give us 4 years of World Class talent.

I mean the way you sell it, whats the point in buying 18 year olds?

Say you buy an 18 year old, we have to wait 4 years for him to become a talent, in those 4 years hes very inconsistent and when he finally settles into a football player we sell them to City or Chelsea.

So using your formula, we should never buy players again.

We all know football isn’t so calculated especially you two.
You can have players finished at 30 or blossom at 30 same as teen sensations flopp or become messi.
