All deserved imo. If he leaves now or on a free he is one horrid little rat and deserves nothing but resentment from us.
He'll have turned his back on the supporters and on the club that provided him with the development and playing opportunities that have enabled him to demand such a fee in return for his services.
That's not to say the lad hasn't put in work to develop himself but no man is an island and if he leaves the club without the club receiving their fair due in return then he has earned everything that comes as a consequence of that decision.
