TOXIC WEDNESDAY

Martin Keown, a player I loved when he was in the Royal Blue of EFC, is of the opinion that this is the biggest match in our club's 139 history.

In a way I can see where he's coming from. Relegation could spell the end of this club. We'd be stuck with salaries that we couldn't pay and crippled with debt that we couldn't repay in a ramshackle stadium that wouldn't look out of place in League One.

And if West Ham put us into the bottom 3 on Wedneday night can you really see us getting out of it? No, nor me.

Absolutely crucial game for both sides. For purely selfish reasons I hope you Toffees dig out a result from somewhere.

If the jellied eel munchers lose, their next three games are against (I think) City, Chelsea and Woolwich. That could see them on 9 points after 17 games. Would need 31 more points from 21 games for safety.

If EFC lose it would be devastating for your already fragile confidence. Toffees fans are going to be a huge factor on the night.

Massive game. Good luck.

Wondering if the players realise this is the biggest game in recent history. Since the coventry game anyway. And then so will the huddersfield matxh and then liverpool match. Huge huge games

How is it remotely that big? Load of hyperbole that. If we lose then we're still a three wins from mid table.

What? It's a league game with us in a poor position in November. Hardly an FA Cup semi final or last day of the season relegation battle. If we lose then it's hardly season over.
