Allardyce will be able to have his pick of clubs (and price) come January - there will be at least 3/4 Premier League teams in full panic mode after 20.matches.

Probably ride to Palace's rescue again.

Which he is fully aware of.

He's carved a real niche out for himself hasn't he.

Managers job from Jan - May, with no remit other than to keep the team up / bonus for doing so.

Rest of the year off / punditry.

He may be pond life, but he ain't stupid.

For Allardyce to have thrown his toys out of his pram it surely means he's aware that certain interest in another candidate is well down the road and there's nothing down for him here?

You would hope so, otherwise we’ve potentially alienated the fall back option (not that anyone wanted him) which would be extremely poor manoeuvring. Not that I would expect anything else from this shower.

Allardyce out?

Allardyce probably felt he had to say something, he has more or less been snubbed in public for the job.

Offer it on his terms and of course he accepts.

Don't make the offer and he never wanted it anyway.

I think he's been strung along and ditched - used to get another manager to commit. Probably Silva.

Acxtually think Moshiri has used both Allardyce and the reported 'number 1 target' Simeone to try ensure he gets his realistic target in early rather than having to wait until next summer.

neither of them will object to that either - lets people know simeone is potentially on the move next summer - so the likes of Chelsea etc will be sniffing soon, Allardyce got LOTS of air time and now will likely get a job off the back of it, in a way he came out of his retirement for the Everton job, notice he hasn't retired when it disappeared though, so basically looks better than coming out of retirement for a crap team like the USA etc
